You've forgotten about 'Attack of the Clones' then?

After his constant tinkering with the original trilogy, and the general crap-ness   of the prequels, George Lucas basically became nerd public enemy number one. People accused him of ‘ruining their childhood’, and some angry geeks even made a documentary about it.

Now JJAbram’s Star Wars: The Force Awakens is out, everyone is a bit shocked about how actually good it is. And the directors Disney have got lined up for the next few movies—including Gareth Edwards, Rian Johnson and Colin Trevorrow—have got people hyped for new Star Wars instead of dreading it. But now, if you ever needed proof that nerds don’t know what the hell the want, there is now a petition to get Disney to bring back George Lucas for episode IX.

“We have no problem with Colin Trevorrow , but he's not the right guy to direct Star Wars Episode IX , says the petition’s creator Yuri Luiz. “George Lucas as director of Episode IX would be the perfect way to end this new trilogy and make an epic farewell between the Father of Star Wars and the whole universe of the galaxy far, far away. We would like to see him again involved with the franchise.”

Star Wars fans be like

Shockingly it has already got the support of nearly 20,000 people. 20,000 people who obviously have very short memories, and don’t remember Jar Jar Binks or the genuine tedium of Attack Of The Clones. Suppose nerds gotta complain about something.
