A 31-year-old Sydney man was arrested and charged on Tuesday for the manufacture and supply of large quantities of ice and ecstasy – an amount so sizeable that police seized literal buckets full of the drugs after raiding the man’s premises.

The man was arrested on Mowbray Road, Artarmon, where both cash and prohibited drugs were found, before police raided a unit in Meriton Street, Gladesville, a location that housed "many kilograms" of drugs, along with the equipment used to manufacture them.

Police are still examining the premises, and had been undertaking a month-long investigation into the supply of drugs in Sydney's inner west and north shore.

Also charged with fraud offences, the man will not receive bail, and is set to appear in Hornsby Local Court on Wednesday.
