Sony just quietly released the very first official cast photo from Paul Feig's forthcoming Ghostbusters reboot / sequel / general awesomeness, meaning the hype surrounding the third entry in the ghost-busting canon is now quite real indeed. Armed with some very necessary proton packs and surrounded by
green the color now known as Slimer, the photo should hopefully put any misguided complaints surrounding Feig's decision to give the franchise a much-needed character update to rest.
The tentatively titled Ghostbusters stars Kristen Wiig, Melissa McCarthy, Kate McKinnon, and Leslie Jones as the central busters of ghosts. Chris Hemsworth, in an ingenious casting move, will pop in as the crew's receptionist. As previously reported, confirmed god Bill Murray will also be making some sort of an appearance alongside fellow original Ghostbusters Dan Aykroyd and Ernie Hudson.
