A police officer who the thirsty citizens of San Francisco made Internet famous by dubbing him the "Hot Cop of Castro" has been arrested, The New York Post reports.

Officer Chris Kohrs, who has more than 50,000 followers on a Facebook fan page featuring his photos, is accused of seriously injuring two men by hitting them with a Dodge Charger as they crossed a San Francisco street around 2 a.m.

The driver of the Charger reportedly got out of the car and fled on foot after the accident. Detectives later identified that driver as Kohrs, police said.
