Penguins, certainly the kind of flightless bird that spends a lot of time reading Complex, probably saw all the RTs that stuff like pugs driving motorcycles and whales punting seals accumulated and quickly entered the lab to concoct something far superior: a full-on zoo prison escape.

The plan, as documented in the footage above, appears to be going quite swimmingly until an annoying human being starts getting in the way. According to the Huffington Post, the foiled escape plan was carried out inside a Denmark zoo. "Perhaps our penguins have seen Penguins of Madagascar too much?" the author of the covert video proposes in the clip's YouTube description. This, of course, raises an interesting theory that can easily be proven by way of a quick Rotten Tomatoes audit of Penguins of Madagascar, the severely underrated art film from the era otherwise known as 2014:

Though certainly not genius levels, that respectable 72 / 63 percent majority on both sides of the argument of quality is certainly firm enough to assume that, yes, these particular penguins could very well have been exposed to the film at some point during captivity based solely on the quality of the film and its likelihood of being recommended to friends, family, and penguins alike.

Keep fighting the good movie-inspired fight, penguins.
