Two days after the Japanese trailer introduced Star Wars fans to new footage, the first TV spot for The Force Awakens made its debut and it too offers up something different. In the two-minute clip Lupita Nyong'o (who plays Maz Kanata in the film) lends her voice to deliver these haunting words: “I have lived long enough to see the same eyes in different people. I see your eyes. I know your eyes,” she says.

Cut to a series of moments including Rey (Daisy Ridley) standing next to fellow newcomer BB-8, John Boyega’s Finn bumping into a guy he may or may not know, and Han Solo (Harrison Ford for those of you living under a rock) on an ice planet. Director J.J. Abrams has remained tight-lipped about the project so if you’re looking for more details, you’ll probably have to wait until its wide release in December. May the patience be with you.
