Facebook may be able to create technology that describes pictures to blind users and rids you of seeing any mention of your ex, but it failed at recognizing user Phuc Dat Bich as a real person. After the 23-year-old Vietnamese-Australian's account was reportedly shut down several times for not having his "real name" he obliged Facebook and posted a picture of his passport to prove he wasn't lying about the obscene looking name, in English at least, to make a joke. That post, from January, recently made headlines and Bich gained fans. In a new Facebook post Bich addresses his claim to fame and thanks his fans.

Bich wrote, "I'd like to mention that I am very grateful to those who have been supportive of certain names that populate in different cultures. We live in a diverse and multicultural society and the fact that there are people out there who are supportive and encouraging really makes me happy." And then there's the people who supported him for his funny name. Bich, being a good sport, also addressed those people, writing that he was "honoured" that his name entertained them, especially given recent tragedies worldwide. "I am glad and honoured to be able to make people happy by simply making them laugh at something that appears outrageous and ridiculous," Bich wrote.

What a guy!
