Dealing with airport security is stressful enough, and staffers at the Philippines’ Manila Airport are making things especially difficult for passengers by scamming them. According to Time, workers have been dropping bullets into the luggage of unsuspecting travelers and then extorting them by threatening to charge or arrest them for carrying the illegal ammo.

“This is becoming an international embarrassment,” Sherwin Gatchalian, a member of the tourism committee in the House of Representatives, said. He added that the culprits were “not afraid to prey on foreigners.”

What’s worse is that some individuals were reportedly taken to court for not paying the superficial fines. “There is no working system that is guarding the guards,” Senator Ralph Recto reportedly said.

The situation is currently being investigated.
