Donald Trump, an actual human being who is very much still running for President of the United States, decided to kick this whole Trump thing up
a couple hundreds of notches on Thursday by unleashing a clearly well-practiced attack against Ben Carson centered around a bizarre child molestation comparison. Trump offered a brief preview of this attack during a CNN interview on Thursday, arguing that Carson’s "pathological" temper is similar to child molestation because there’s no cure, which is obviously quite a reach:
Later that same day, Trump decided to double down on this theory during a rally speech at Iowa Central Community College. Though he preceded his second run-through of the child molestation likening with some version of "I shouldn’t say this," he most certainly continued to say it:
"How stupid are the people of Iowa?" Trump asked the audience, full of Iowans, with his usual grace. "How stupid are the people of the country to believe this crap?" Damn. I don't know. I don't even live in Iowa and I'm feeling pretty stupid right about now too. According to the New York Daily News, Trump also took additional aim at Hillary Clinton, Marco Rubio, and anyone else who dare exist on the same planet as the former star of The Apprentice.
