Apparently a number one album just isn't enough in Selena Gomez's bid for total pop culture domination. Revival, her return to music after two years, was just released a few weeks ago, but Gomez has already turned her sights back to acting. Varietyreports she's in the midst of "final negotiations" with Netflix to executive produce and star in a miniseries adaptation of the popular young adult novel 13 Reasons Why.

The story follows Hannah, a high school girl who just committed suicide but not before sending her classmate Clay a shoebox of cassette tapes with instructions to pass along to 12 other students, to whom Hannah will posthumously explain how they each played a part in her decision to end her life. Sounds like the type of heavy stuff the Teens love, which explains why the 2007 novel was originally in talks to get the feature film treatment over at Universal.

What are the chances of Justin Bieber being cast as Clay?
