John Ellis Bush, a guy who will most certainly never be president so why are you even trying, probably thought that adding a simple "!" to the brotastic nickname "Jeb" would help him stack up the potential votes. Has that worked? Well, no. But has the attempt warranted hours and hours of maddening and/or uncomfortable hilarity? Yes!

Jeb!'s latest folly, however, takes a slight detour from the trail of hilarity by stalling out somewhere at or very near downright ridiculousness:

In case you're wondering if your eyes have cleverly deceived you, they have not. Jeb Bush, during an event in South Carolina, actually said: "Stuff happens, there's always a crisis, and the impulse is always to do something and it's not necessarily the right thing to do." While those who dare point out the idiocy of Bush's quote on Twitter surely face the risk of their mentions devolving into Republican-leaning semantics, there really is no flattering way to frame this.
