Put your hands together and slow clap for a man traveling from Mexico City who tried to smuggle liquid cocaine in his salad dressing. It’s not the best way to get drugs across the border I mean, he did get caught but it was definitely creative.

New York Magazine reports that Andres Josue Leal Valle arrived at JFK airport in New York with three suitcases and a carry-on bag containing bottles of olive oil and vinegar. Oh, and 11 pounds of the illegal substance in the mixture. Agents for the U.S. Customs and Border Control noticed the funky looking liquids while inspecting the bag. They lead him to a private room for a more thorough search and smelled a strange odor coming from the bottles. After testing the concoction, it was revealed that Leal Valle carried about $194,000 worth of product in the containers. That’s a pretty penny for salad dressing!

It’s not exactly clear what was said during the search but we hope someone took the opportunity to throw in a “Lucy, you’ve got some ‘splaining to do.” Too soon?
