Remember the first Blade movie? If you haven’t seen it in a while, you should give it another watch. It’s even better than you remember, and there’s a good chance it’ll be on ITV2 or something in the next few weeks.

But do you remember the opening scene? Where Blade goes into a vampire club, and they’re all dressed in black leather and dancing to pounding techno, and then blood starts raining from the sprinklers? Well, a company called BBQ Films are going to recreate that as a special one-off party in New York—they’ve previously done events like a Patrick Bateman birthday party and a Back To The Future undersea dance. For their ‘Blade Rave’ there’s going to be a head line set from The Crystal Method, a screening of the film, synthetic blood pouring from the celling, and, er, sword fight demos.

It’s all doing down on October 9, so if you’re in New York, and want to get your late 90s-goth on, you can get tickets here.

Someone mother*cker better try and ice skate uphill at some point.
