Bernie Sanders Tops Hillary Clinton in New Hampshire Polls

But the former Secretary of State still has the lead in nationwide polls.

According to NBC/Marist College polls, Bernie Sanders rivals Hillary Clinton by 9 points in New Hampshire. The independent Vermont senator is also gaining on Clinton in Iowa where her lead in the polls fell to 11 points since July, the Daily Dot reports.  Sanders received 41 percent of Democratic voters’ support in New Hampshire, compared to Clinton’s 32 percent. Joe Biden, who hasn’t declared his candidacy, received 16 percent of voters’ support, whereas no other Democratic candidate received more than 1 percent in the poll.

Voters’ support differed in Iowa where the former Secretary of State received 38 percent of the vote, while Sanders received only 27 percent. Clinton still holds the lead in nationwide support, averaging 25.5 points ahead of Sanders, up from the 21.5 point lead she held as of August 28.

On the Republican side, Donald Trump still has the lead with 29 percent of the vote in Iowa and 28 percent in New Hampshire.
