Jurassic World has got people caring about Jurassic Park  for the first time in 20 years. But Tumblr blog From Director Steven Spielberg has unearthed something that never happened that could have been really cool.

Apparently there was a Jurassic Park animated series in production, probably in the 90s, that never saw the light of day. And this wasn’t just some cheesy Saturday morning production either. It was going to a prime time series aimed at adults. A trailer was even produced, but Steven Spielberg himself eventually pulled the plug on it.

Designer William Stout shared some unused concept art on his blog, and it looks like it could have been great.

Here are some of the designs.
