Seemingly obvious Facebookspam has long plagued everyone's parents, grandparents, and that distant uncle who keeps inviting you to his AC/DC tribute band's shows. The real tragedy, of course, is that a lot of people apparently fall for this gobbledygook with a baffling ease. However, swift justice has finally knocked on the door of the so-called "Facebook Spam King" of Las Vegas, adding a bit of hope to the future of your grandparents' Facebook experience.

Sanford Wallace, the 47-year-old digital pest also known as Spam King, recently admitted to his entire history of spamtastic Facebook practices by pleading guilty to fraud and criminal contempt. According to Bloomberg, Wallace sent more than 27 million unsolicited messages after achieving access to roughly half a million accounts through nefarious methods.

Wallace will be officially sentenced in December, possibly facing up to three years in prison and a hefty $250,000 fine. In the meantime, he will presumably spend hours inviting your grandparents to play FarmVille or some variation therein.
