YouTube sensation PewDiePie (also known as Felix Kjellberg) made almost $7.5 million last year, according to GameSpot. Kjellberg, who is famous for his Let's Play videos in which he narrates himself playing video games, is 25 years old.

Kjellberg created his PewDiePie account six years ago, and has become so popular that he signed a deal with Maker Studios, an online video company owned by Disney, back in 2012.

Now, his account has 37 million subscribers (to put that into perspective, the YouTube page for Late Night with Jimmy Fallon has 7 million). He also generates $4 million in ad sales every year.

Kjellberg isn't totally used to his popularity, even though it isn't newfound. "It's cool to have this kind of influence, but at the same time it's kind of scary," said Kjellberg. He added, "I'm so central to YouTube now, and that puts me in the spotlight and raises a lot of questions like, 'Why is he so big?'"

"I'd much rather prefer to have something like 5 million subscribers," said Kjellberg.

According to a Swedish newspaper, Kjellberg's company, PewDiePie Productions AB, was worth almost $3.5 million in 2013.
