J.J. Abrams is going all out for Star Wars: Episode VII - The Force Awakens. Last night on The Daily Show Abrams, who has roughly the stature of an Oompa Loompa, described the time he broke his back trying to rescue Harrison Ford. Apparently when the door to the Millennium Falcon fell on Ford last year, breaking his leg and holding up the film, Abrams was feeling particularly heroic.

"He’s literally lying there making jokes," Abrams said. "This door had gone down, and I’m trying to help lift it up – because that’s the kind of guy I am. I’m trying to lift up this door and I feel this pop in my back. I’m like 'Uh, that’s weird.'"

Ford lived up to Han Solo's badass rep and recovered quickly, but Abrams, who's definitely not an action hero, was stuck in a back brace for months. Luckily, neither injury effected the film's December 18 release.
