A warning for all of you ruthless drivers out there: There is no parking in the city circle.

That’s what Declan, a toddler from Halifax, discover this week. Local police tweeted a photo of an officer handing the three year old a fake parking ticket. The boy was riding his miniature, plastic motorbike through a no parking zone, when a police officer approached him and his parents. While Cst. Shawn Currie wrote out the boy’s first ticket, Declan’s dad snapped some pics. The images have since gone viral, with the local authorities getting in on the trend.

Declan’s thoughts on the matter? Apparently, he loves it. Speaking with CTV News, mom Lisa, revealed that the little biker “tried to go to sleep with his ticket” just a few nights later. In an interview with The Toronto Star, Declan’s father added, “The little guy was having fun with it, he didn’t understand what a parking ticket was. To him it was just a police officer giving him stuff.”

It’s a cute reminder for us big boys and girls to avoid our cheeky driving habits. The tickets we get are still the real deal.
