If Joaquin Phoenix's existential quest I'm Still Here didn't make you fall in unabashed love with the mockumentary format back in 2010, then you just might be a hopeless simpleton. However, there's still hope — specifically in the form of 7 Days in Hell, the forthcoming tennis-centric mockumentary starring Andy Samberg and Kit Harington (yes; that Kit Harington) with a tastefully enticing trailer (see above).

The HBO event 7 Days in Hell stars Samberg and Harington as fictional tennis heroes Aaron Williams and Charles Poole, respectively — two titans of the sport who played the "longest and greatest" tennis match of all time. Hell documents the perilous ins and outs of the seven-day, five-set match with additional footage from the storied careers of Williams and Poole.

As previously reported, Samberg is also working on bringing The Lonely Island brand of obtuse but skilled bafoonery to cinemas in the form of a This Is Spinal Tap-esque mockumentary produced by Judd Apatow. Harington, of course, is no stranger to slaying hearts on the Home Box Office network — what with him being Jon Snow, etc.
