The BBC has revealed a prototype of a “Mind Control” television that it created with UK-based company This Place.

The tech development allows people to select tv programs on an experimental version of the BBC’s iPlayer on-demand platform using a headset that reads brainwaves. You operate the headset by concentrating or relaxing your mind.

Besides just being cool, this type of technological development could be used in the future to help people with disabilities.

The tech is still in development, so it will probably be a while before you get to try it at home. But I’m definitely looking forward to binge watching Netflix without ever moving, at all.
