MARTA police have arrested a reported "person of interest" following a fatal shooting near the Underground Atlanta entrance to the Five Points MARTA station, though the level of this person's involvement in the shooting remains unknown. According to multiple sources, a gunman reportedly opened fire near the MARTA entrance on Thursday — leaving one person reported dead. The Atlanta Journal-Constitution quotes one witness as saying the shooting seemingly stemmed from an argument, adding that the nature or subject of that argument wasn't immediately clear.

Though little in the way of specificity (aside from the above) has been revealed from local authorities, several witnesses and confused residents took to Twitter following the shooting to offer an alternate version of events:

More to come.
