It's hard to describe the movie Dope as a comedy or a drama. It has many elements of both. What starts as a fun coming-of-age story about high school senior Malcolm (Shameik Moore) soon takes you on a wild ride that leaves you laughing, crying and rapping along to old school 90's hip hop. A solid cast of young talent leads the film featuring the aforementioned Moore, Kiersey Clemons, Zoë Kravitz, A$AP Rocky, Chanel Iman, and Blake Anderson. Director Rick Famuyiwa enlisted the talent of Pharrell Williams to not only Executive Produce the film, but also produce original songs. Dope hits theaters nationwide June 19th.
