The 21 Jump Street universe (yes — that is very much a thing now) continues to expand, now smartly engulfing two of the brilliant minds behind Bob's Burgers — i.e. the show you always binge-watch when you're incapacitatingly high , then forget to turn off before you fall asleep. Bob's Burgers writers Lizzie and Wendy Molyneux have officially signed on for Sony's forthcoming female-led 21 Jump Street spinoff, following a pitch from the duo that Sony liked enough to pursue dual-track development — meaning the previously announced script from Broad City writers Lucia Aniello and Paul W. Downs will still be completed alongside a separate Molyneux script.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, the 21 Jump Street franchise — two entries deep — has proven a highly profitable affair for Sony thus far. Starring Jonah Hill and Channing Tatum, 21 Jump Street and 22 Jump Street have earned a collective $530 million worldwide. As you're surely anticipating, Sony is also developing a so-bizarre-it'll-surely-be-brilliant 21 Jump Street / Men in Black crossover — a spectacular achievement, even just in theory.

Fear not — Bob's Burgers will also continue to provide you with green-friendly entertainment, as it was renewed for a fifth season earlier this year.
