A recent study from Indiana University discovered people's mood improves from watching cat videos. For our own sanity we need as many viral cats as possible, so it's with great pleasure that we welcome Matilda into the illustrious club with Lil Bub and Grumpy Cat.
Known as Alien Cat Matilda on Instagram, the two-year-old cat has a genetic disorder that causes her eyes to look like giant, clouded flying saucers. The condition gradually took over her eyes, starting with the right, before leaving her blind. Eventually her eyes will have to be removed, and her owners raised the $2,500 they needed for the surgery on GoFundMe.
But for now she'll keep crushing in on social media with her distinctive look. She now has more than 70,000 Instagram followers, and that number figures to grow. Check out some more photos below.
