On Thursday June 18, Complex and 1800 Tequila hosted a party to celebrate the release of the latest in the Essential 1800 Artist Series of custom bottles. This latest edition showcases the work of iconic street artist Keith Haring, whose work is synonymous with NYC in the ’80s, as well as with the most important social issues of the time. This is the seventh edition in the Essential 1800 Artist series, and is sure to be one of the most popular, as Haring’s bright, colorful, graffiti-meets-comic-strip style is in full effect.

The event took place at Verboten in Williamsburg, Brooklyn. Guests at the party enjoyed signature cocktails with names taken from Haring’s world, such as the “Lower East Side” and the “Subway Ride,” all made with 100 percent-blue agave 1800 Tequila. The top-notch eats included bacon-wrapped short ribs and chicken skewers, and partygoers got down to tunes from DJs Camilo and TJ Mizell.
