Minority Report, aside from boasting one of Tom Cruise's finest performances (as PreCrime Captain John Anderton), proved to be both a commercial and critical darling in 2002— slam dunking with a $358 million worldwide gross against its $142 million budget. The Steven Spielberg film, loosely based on a Philip K. Dick short story, used its stark visual stylings to elevate the American blockbuster format to a higher plane. The film's exploration of fate versus free will has given the film remarkable legs, probably even showing up in your Intro to Philosophy class.

As things often go in 2015, Minority Report is being revisited — though wisely not via any sort of reboot. Fox's sequel series picks up ten years after the events of the original film, centering on new character Lara Vega (a detective played by Meagan Good) and Dash (a former PreCog played by Stark Sands). Wilmer Valderrama somehow found his way into the cast, bringing some That '70s Show clout to the role of Detective Will Blake.

Minority Report premieres this fall.
