Book to screen adaptations usually suck, but hey, that hasn’t stopped anyone from adapting mega franchises like Harry Potter or Lord of The Rings. That’s why the folks over at Steven Spielberg’s production company Amblin Television are adapting Aldous Huxley’s Brave New World for a SyFy series, joining the ranks of Sharknado.
For those of you who didn’t have to read, or chose not to read the 1932 dystopian classic (think 1984) for English class, the book follows a futuristic world without war, and where babies are manufactured in science labs in order to stop individualism. This marks SyFy and Amblin’s second partnership, previously collaborating for 2003’s Steven Spielberg Presents: Taken.
