A pair of Troy University students were arrested following the emergence of video footage showing a spring break gang rape which took place in Florida in March.

According to WSFA, Ryan Calhoun, 23, and Delonte' Martistee, 22, were charged with sexual battery by multiple perpetrators by authorities in Bay County, Fla this week. WSFA reports that the video was discovered by police in Troy, Ala., who were investigating a local shooting. During their investigation, they found the disturbing video on a suspect's phone:

Authorities described the cell phone video as the most sickening, disgusting thing they've ever seen. It reportedly shows the crime happening in broad daylight with a crowd of several hundred people on the beach. Authorities say the victim appeared to be unconscious in the video.

Last week, the Troy Police Department forwarded the video to the Bay County Sheriff's Office. After reviewing it, police identified Calhoun, Martistee, and the victim. Both Calhoun and Martistee have been suspended by the university, and WSFA reports that Martistee was dismissed from the school's track team. A search for two additional suspects continues.
