With Spider-Man slinging into action once again for the planned upcoming reboot, backed by Marvel (!!!), the race to cast “high school Spidey” is on. The casting web (get it?), which recently included YA darling Nat Wolff, Tom Holland (The Impossible), Timothee Chalamet (Interstellar), Liam James (The Way Way Back), and Asa Butterfield (Ender’s Game), reportedly has Butterfield as the top choice.
If chosen, Butterfield will be a pro, having already played the “young, doesn’t quite fit in’ kid” Marvel’s Kevin Feige described the new Spider-Man Spider-Boy as being, in the previously mentioned sci-fi adventure. Either way, we'll find out soon since Spider-Man will reportedly appear in Captain America: Civil War, which is almost set to begin shooting.
