For the first time in too long we're intrigued by a Johnny Depp movie. The actor will play notorious Boston gangster and FBI informant Whitey Bulger in the upcoming Black Mass, and this first trailer has us hopeful this will be the great gangster film Public Enemies wasn't. Depp is downright terrifying as the man convicted of 11 murders in a little conversation about fire steak recipes.
Joel Edgerton, Benedict Cumberbatch, Kevin Bacon, Dakota Johnson, and Adam Scott are also set to star in the film slated for a Sept. 18 release.
