Billionaire NYC real-estate heir Robert Durst has been arrested in New Orleans on a warrant out of Los Angeles, CNN reports.
Durst is the eccentric subject of the (insane and insanely good) HBO true crime documentary series The Jinx by Andrew Jarecki, which explores the various unsolved murder cases surrounding Durst.

Last week, after the fifth episode aired, the Los Angeles district attorney reportedly reopened its investigation into the 2000 killing of Susan Berman, one of Durst's friends.
No word on any charges against Durst yet.
UPDATE: Durst waived his right to contest an extradition to Los Angeles during a court appearance in Louisiana on Monday. He will be relocated to Los Angeles to be questioned, and potentially charged with the murder of Ms. Berman in 2000.
"Police and prosecutors would not comment on what led them to accuse Durst now. But one source involved in the recent deliberations, who requested anonymity because of the ongoing investigation, said the documentary had played a role" according to the Los Angeles Times.
“As a result of investigative leads and additional evidence that has come to light in the past year, investigators have identified Robert Durst as the person responsible for Ms. Berman's death,” the LAPD said in a statement issued Sunday.
