The Wii U might only be three years old, but Nintendo have already announced their next video games console.
The console is provisional called the NX, and was announced at a press conference in Tokyo. We don’t know much about it yet, but Nintendo president Satoru Itawa said it was "a dedicated game platform with a brand new concept." It is part of a new partnership between Nintendo and mobile phone company DeNA, and together they are creating a cross-platform service running on mobiles, tablets, PC and the company’s existing consoles.
Itawa went on to add “It is too early to elaborate on the details of this project, but we hope to share more information with you next year.”
Here's a brief clip of the announcement
