You've heard it from Dom Toretto (Vin Diesel) time and time again while Brian (Paul Walker) and Mia (Jordana Brewster) and Roman (Tyrese Gibson) and others gathered around the backyard grill and sipped Coronas (as Dom says in the first movie, "You can have any brew you want... as long as it's a Corona.") together—it's all about family.

That's what keeps the Fast and Furious franchise churning. Underneath all the absurd stunts, stakes-raising action and goofy hijinx, there's an ongoing story about a group of people who would literally take a bullet for one another.

But according to Ludacris in this exclusive behind-the-scenes featurette, Furious 7 really drives home the importance of this speed-happy family. "It's something we worked really hard to express," Luda says. "And our loyalty to each other is just as strong off-screen as it is on-screen." Apparently, that means forcing your BFF to plummet out of an airplane in a muscle car. The extended Toretto family just does things a little differently.

Furious 7 hits theaters on April 3. HALLELUJAH.
