Some reporters are not great interviewers—but this guy from Channel 10's The Project takes the cake. In a sit-down interview about her new movie Cinderella, Jonathan Hyla asked award-winning actress Cate Blanchett the most inane of questions: how she got the cat who appeared with her character on-screen to do what she wanted.

"That's your question?" Blanchett asked, clearly thrown off. But Hyla was unflappable, a man committed to journalistic excellence, and he had to know about was going on with the feline co-star. He pressed on: "I tried to put my girlfriend's cat on a leash and it just never works for me!"

Lol, oh yeah, obviously! At this point, Blanchett looked around for her publicist and then repeated: "That's your question? That's your fucking question?"

This awkward train wreck brings to mind Reese Witherspoon's #AskHerMore campaign, which is meant to inspire reporters to ask women on the red carpet more meaningful questions than "Who are you wearing?". But Hyla's line of inquiry doesn't even sound sexist—just really dumb. Of all the things he could have asked her, he wanted to talk best practices for cat actors?

Hyla, though, seems to think he did an OK job, since he tweeted that it was his "best worst interview." SMH.
