Yesterday was World Book Day, and to celebrate some schools encouraged students to come in dressed as their favorite book characters. Maybe Alice in Wonderland or a Hobbit, or something from Harry Potter or The Hunger Games if they’re a bit more modern. British mom Nicola Scholes however dressed her 11-year-old son Liam up as Christian Grey, the lead character from the ultra-explicit S&M epic, Fifty Shades Of Grey

The kid even had a mask and cable ties.

Liam's mom told ITV’s Good Morning Britain that she saw nothing wrong with letting her child dress up as a kinky sex god. “I don’t regret allowing him to go as that character… Every child of the age of 11 knows who he is. He walked into school yesterday and every child knew who he was so I don’t think he’s gone as something that’s not been accessible to children of his age before.”

Like mother, like son—here's what Liam himself had to say: "Well, with the character being so big and popular over the past few years, you see him a lot on telly on buses and on posters and magazines, he’s everywhere basically and it’s all the girls talk about and everyone talks about in school.” This kid was clearly just marketing himself for the ladies. Let a pre-adolescent player live.

Maybe next year he should dress up as Patrick Bateman or Hunter S. Thompson.
