A Japanese man has been arrested for convincing about 100 women that he was conducting a sleep study, then drugging and raping them before selling the footage to adult websites.

CNN reports that Hideyuki Noguchi, of Tokyo, Japan began this scheme in 2012 when he placed an ad in a newspaper seeking a range of women from their teens to their 40s. Authorities told CNN that the 54-year-old Noguchi, who has no medical training, would drug the respondents, then record himself sexually assaulting them. CNN notes that he made roughly $100,000 from selling the videos to porn sites.

Noguchi was eventually arrested when one of the women recognized herself in one of the videos. He currently faces incapacitated rape charges in a staggering three dozen cases.
