On Monday evening, local Los Angeles news station KTLA reported what sounded like a scene ripped directly from a Michael Bay production, but this was frighteningly IRL. An armed car thief led police on a destructive chase through the thick of LA rush hour traffic that's almost too insane to believe. Thanks to expert chopper surveillance, the suspect can be seen causing multiple crashes and even highjacking a second escape vehicle from an unlucky passerby at gunpoint. The suspect was eventually subdued by LAPD gunfire when he abandoned his damaged car and attempted to seize a third escape vehicle.
