Authorities in Georgia say a former police officer suspected of murdering his wife and injuring two cops was found dead last night.
According to the Atlanta Journal-Constitution, Joey Terrell, Sheriff of Habersham County, and Deputy William Zigan were summoned to a home near Clarkesville, Ga. around 7:30 p.m. That's where they found the body of Anthony Giaquinta's wife. The 41-year-old, an ex-cop in Gainesville, Ga. who worked for the Habersham County Sheriff's Office momentarily, suddenly appeared and shot both Terrell and Zigan.
Hours later, Giaquinta and an unidentified man were found dead behind the home. At the time, the cause for both deaths remains unknown.
The Journal-Constitution adds that Terrell and Zigan were rushed to Northeast Georgia Medical Center following the shooting. Terrell was released last night; Zigan is expected to survive the attack despite sustaining several gunshot wounds.
