Bruce Jenner, a former Olympic gold medalist in the 1976 decathlon, who became a reality star as a step-parent to the Kardashians and father to the Jenners, is reportedly negotiating an interview to come out as transgender and discuss the transition. According to BuzzFeed News, Diane Sawyer of ABC News is in final negotiations for the story. The interview is expected to air in May.

Jenner has been filming a new reality series with many of the Kardashians and Jenners, which will air on E! and is speculated to document Jenner's transition. The tabloids have already latched onto and driven this story, including weak Photoshop renderings to add speculation, and this would be a great and proper way for Jenner to control the story. Although E! refused to comment to BuzzFeed about the show, if the focus is indeed on Jenner's transition, it will surely be the highest-profile individual to turn a camera on their experience in such a large way.

Kate Aurthur of BuzzFeed writes, "This family has chosen to live life in public, with everything that entails. And apparently, that includes going with Jenner into actual reality."
