Dozens Injured After Train Derails and Strikes Truck in Southern California

No fatalities have been reported.

A commuter train collided with a truck in Southern California this morning, leaving at least 30 people injured. 

According to CBS Los Angeles, the Metrolink train was en route to Los Angeles when it collided with a produce truck in Oxnard, Calif. just before 6 a.m. Following the impact, the truck exploded into flames and three of the five train cars which derailed landed on their sides. 

No deaths have been reported, but the crash is said to have left two people in critical condition. CBS Los Angeles adds that the truck driver attempted to flee the scene, but was later collared by police. 

Metrolink says that the accident will result in considerable delays for Ventura County trains. What's more, the NTSB has been dispatched investigate the crash.
