There Was a Huge Fire in Williamsburg This Morning

It's been raging for several hours.

A CitiStorage warehouse in Williamsburg, Brooklyn was the site of a five-alarm fire this morning. FDNY was called at 6:28 a.m. to 5 North 11th Street. As Gothamist notes, a five-alarm fire means there were at least 20 fire engines, 11 ladder trucks, 6 battalion chiefs and a rescue team. There were also FDNY fireboats (who knew?).

A nearby oil refinery was apparently evacuated as a precaution -- the cold temps and high winds aren't making things any easier. As of noon, the fire is still raging.
