Surveillance Cameras Fail to Capture Gunman Who Opened Fire Outside Vice President Joe Biden's Delaware Home

Not the greatest look for the Secret Service.

On Saturday night, someone fired "four to six" shots outside of Vice President Joe Biden's home in Greenville, Del. before speeding off in a vehicle. The resulting investigation has reportedly stalled because the home's surveillance cameras did not capture images of the suspect.

According to the Washington Post, authorities currently have no leads because the cameras were not pointed at the main road outside of the vice president's home. What's more, the Post reports that the home's security system has a history of issues that prompted the Secret Service to turn it off for months last year.

Secret Service Spokesman Edwin Donovan insisted that the agency took "appropriate security measures" on the night of the incident. However, considering their string of blunders last year, it's difficult to have complete confidence in the Secret Service these days. For that line of work, it's a requisite.
