An online reality show brought the harsh realities of sweatshop life to a group of teen fashion bloggers, by taking them to work in a Cambodian clothes factory.

Norwegian newspaper Aftenposten organised the trip, and host the five 10-minute episodes on their website (which you can watch now, with handy English subtitles).

Understandably, the bloggers were shocked by what they saw in the sweatshops. 17-year-old Anniken quickly breaks into tears at the conditions in the Cambodian capital of Phnom Penn, and all the teens crack when they start working in the factories, and hunger and fatigue kicks in.

Sweatshop conditions are something we’re all aware of, but it’s always worth reminding ourselves of what people on the other side of the world are going through to make your sneakers.
