There may be no bigger expert in movies about things not from earth than Neill Blomkamp, whose three big U.S. releases have been District 9, Elysium, and the upcoming Chappie. Could he next be adding a chapter to the Alien franchise to his résumé?

Yesterday and today, the director has been posting concept art for some kind of Alien film on his Instagram, including a sketch of Sigourney Weaver in a badass alien helmet:
