A Long Island teenager was killed last night after striking a pole while snow-tubing with friends, authorities say.
The Associated Press reports that Sean Urda, 17, was part of a group of three who were snow-tubing in the streets of Huntington, N.Y. around 10 p.m. when he lost control, colliding with a pole. The Associated Press adds that a blizzard warning had been issued in Long Island at the time of the accident.
Urda, a resident of East Northpoint, was pronounced dead at Huntington Hospital.
