UPDATE: Things really didn't get better for LiLo when she left Bora Bora.

After a brief stop Stateside to film a possible Super Bowl commercial for esurance, Lohan returned to London where she got even sicker with the Chikungunya virus she picked up on vacation. TMZ reports that she has been admitted to King Edward VII's Hospital in London after getting so sick that she couldn't even walk.

Lohan is being kept in the hospital due to her high fever and significant joint pain, and the problems may reportedly last for months.

ORIGINAL STORY: It’s officially OK to start feeling badly for Lindsay Lohan.

The 28-year-old actress, whose career of late has been way more down than up, was just minding her own business, trying to enjoy a little holiday R & R in French Polynesia. Then, a mosquito infected with the Chikungunya virus decided to give her a little nip, infecting LiLo with a disease the World Health Organization says is characterized by a sudden fever and severe joint pain.

But you can’t hold a good woman down, and Lohan isn’t going to let a little mosquito-borne illness ruin her vacation. She posted this on her Instagram yesterday:

Good for you, Lindsay. Maybe next time, bring some “Deep Woods Off” with you.
