All happening under the hashtag "ISIS Crap Photoshop Grand Prix".

Japan has recently been thrown to the forefront of Middle East affairs after Islamic State demanded $200 million for the return of two Japanese hostages. The ransom is the same amount Japan pledged in non-military aid to countries helping refugees who have fled fighting in Iraq and Syria.

The deadline given by ISIS has now passed but Japanese twitter users have taken to the social media site to mock and protest the group–especially calling attention to the suggestion that ISIS digitally alters its videos.

The badly made mock-ups have been trending under the hashtag #ISISクソコラグランプリ, which Kotaku translated as "ISIS Crap Photoshop Grand Prix"–i.e. badly mocked-up videos warrant badly mocked-up pictures.

Here's a selection of the best
