President Barack Obama Talks Race With BET

President Obama opened up about Michael Brown and Eric Garner in a recent interview with BET.

With unrest surrounding the non-indictments handed out to the white police officers who shot and killed Michael Brown and Eric Garner engulfing the entire country, many have wondered where President Obama stands on all of these issues. As the first black president, Obama is in a unique position to comment on race from the perspective of both an African-American as well as the leader of the United States.

He sat down with BET correspondent Jeff Johnson recently to discuss the calls seeking justice and imploring he take action, and also offered his vision for how America can grow and reunite in the face of such a fracturing set of circumstances.
