After searching through Hollywood’s crop of young actresses, including Alexandra Daddario and Teresa Palmer, Marvel has chosen Krysten Ritter (Breaking Bad, Don't Trust the B...) for the Jessica Jones Netflix series.
Some background on Jones: She’s an ex-superhero who runs a detective agency to help other superheroes since her PTSD made her give up her previous lifestyle.
Marvel’s head of television and executive producer of A.K.A. Jessica Jones said of Ritter, “[She] has the type of range, spanning the comic to the tragic, that makes for the stuff of the best Marvel heroes.”
Keep an eye out for the 13 episode Netflix series next year.
